Lucky me
Well, it’s been a while since I last posted. So bad, I know. Exciting news, though. Hermitage is in the May issue of Lucky Magazine! And with a photo of the shop no less.

Yeah for Portland for garnering such publicity! Yeah for Hermitage for being so photogenic!
In other news, we’ve received some new products for the shop! Printed napkins and tablecloths from the traditional Swedish textile manufacturer Mairo. Designed by Elizabeth Dunker (of favorite blog fine little day), the Strössel design is whimsical and sweet, bringing to mind afternoon teas and sunny backyard picnics. Mairo textiles are of the upmost quality, preserving the long tradition of genuine handicraft produced in southern Sweden. Colours are mixed and weighed by hand and poured manually into a 60 foot long printing machine! The resulting textiles are beautifully printed on weighty linens and cottons.

This is just the first batch and depending on public interest Hermitage will be carrying a larger selection of Mairo products in various designs. I can’t wait to outfit my entire house with these incredible prints!
